If you have an existing JB Hi-Fi Mobile physical SIM on one of our Upfront mobile plans, here’s how to switch over to using an eSIM.
- Open the JB Hi-Fi Mobile app on the device you’re moving the service to.
You’ll need an active Wi-Fi connection to complete the process. - From the Services tab, select the relevant service and ‘Transfer or restore eSIM’.
If you’re on an older plan, ‘Transfer or restore eSIM’ may not be shown. In this case, tap on the 3 dots at the top of the screen. If your device is compatible, the ‘Transfer or restore eSIM’ option will be shown. - Follow the prompts to complete eSIM activation.
Compatible eSIM devices
Here is a list of the most commonly used eSIM compatible devices:
- Apple: All iPhone XR, XS, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 models plus iPhone SE (2020 and 2022) Please note: You need to have iOS13 or later, to use eSIM.
- Samsung: All Galaxy S20, 21, 22, 23 and 24 models plus Galaxy Z fold and Z Flip devices
- Google: Pixel 3a plus all Pixel 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 models
- Nokia: Nokia X30 5G
- OPPO: Find N2 Flip, Find X3 Pro, Find X5 Pro,
- Motorola: Razr40 Ultra and Razr 40
Note: Devices purchased overseas may not be eSIM compatible.
